Job Description
The Marketing Communications Director will lead the marketing and corporate communications strategies and activities that support Worldpay’s business objectives. The ideal candidate will be results driven and able to balance priorities between strategic-level planning and tactical implementation of communications and business priorities. He/she will understand the concepts of buyer personas and the customer’s journey in order to develop a communication’s action plan that speaks to specific target audiences to achieve various objectives- lead generation, brand awareness, thought leadership, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or related discipline, master’s degree preferred
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in marketing and/or communications
Minimum 3 years of experience working in communications management role
Copywriting, editing and proofing copy
Experience in the banking/ financial services industry, a plus
B2B marketing experience, preferred
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
Able to articulate creative concepts and rationale for communications developed
Strong understanding of marketing concepts including digital and online marketing
Understanding of content marketing
Direct response copywriting, a plus
Strong project and task management skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects
Keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Excellent listening and interpretation skills
Strong presentation skills
Familiarity with AP writing style
Ability to maintain accuracy and professionalism under pressure
Able to adapt to changes in process, technology and strategy
Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-manage workload and prioritize deadlines
