The purpose of this job is to manage and execute on the company’s patent and technology analytics processes in support of strategic, advisory, and transactions projects in a fast paced start up environment.
Responsibilities
Review patents, gather EoU, prepare claim charts, both individually and in coordination with subject matter experts
Lead in-house team in the preparation of patent landscapes, patent surveillance, and patent portfolio analysis
Interact with firm clients to present team’s patent analysis work
Help train in-house team of engineers to perform patent analysis, including claim chart preparation
Recruit and manage outside subject matter experts
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Extensive experience in claim chart preparation
Participation in patent litigation, licensing, and/or sales processes
BS or higher in EE, CS, or physics, MS or PhD. a plus
Law degree preferred or equivalent patent experience
Registration with the USPTO as a patent attorney or agent
This job is located in San Francisco, California. Candidates must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
