Director Industry Marketing Media The Weather Company Andover

Job Description
To succeed in this senior-level role, you must be passionate and knowledgeable about digital media and advertising with an understanding of the local broadcast media landscape. It’s imperative that you understand the challenges our customers face, particularly as advertising dollars shift more and more to digital, and that you can develop the marketing plans and programs to create awareness and education for our products and solutions to ensure customer success.

You will work closely with our product and sales teams to create compelling market positioning and messaging, as well as define the marketing strategy by which we help to grow our media business – both domestically and internationally.

Successful candidates will have the following:
Experience in digital media and advertising. Local Broadcast market understanding a
Familiarity with marketing technologies, including marketing automation, digital analytics, social media platforms
Exceptionally strong writing, communication and presentation skills; if you’re on the pro-side of the Oxford comma debate, even better
Demonstrated ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams


Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop fully integrated strategic marketing plans for our media industry, managing internal resources to execute effective programs that drive opportunities.
Determine optimal marketing mix based on past performance and current objectives
Bring new and innovative products, solutions and services to market, educating our customers on the benefits they deliver
Collaborate with sales leaders to develop the sales enablement tools that will allow our global sales team to sell more effectively.
Provide channel marketing support to our partners, particularly in international markets
Oversee market research, commercial insight and analyses of relevant market segments to ensure our sales and marketing strategies align with customer and market needs.


Education, Experience, Certification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent knowledge
7 years of related product marketing experience with at least 2 years’ experience in the supported industry, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven track record of marketing excellence, preferably within the media industry
Deep understanding of the competitive landscape, current trends, business issues and industry-specific technology
Proven success in developing and executing multi-platform, value-building initiatives with quantifiable results and corresponding metrics
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and prioritize all responsibilities accordingly
Ability the think creatively and retain a knowledge base of innovative marketing techniques (from conceptualization to execution to wrap-up/merchandising)
Demonstration of strong technical savvy, excellent project management skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to ever-changing business priorities
Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce.com as a sales and marketing tool to include creating and managing reports, dashboards, and maintaining data integrity.
Proven success in creating and executing a variety of marketing campaigns and demand generation programs.
