Director Engineering Maintenance L'Oréal Florence

Job Description
Directs all activities of the Engineering Department including facilities maintenance; capital project management, and departmental spending. Manages the plant wide safety, health and environmental programs. Supports the various plant operations groups.

Fully Supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.
Supports and embraces the Quality and Environmental missions of the Plant.
Respectfully, through words and actions, lead, coach and develop the Engineering team encouraging 100% employee engagement.
Manage Engineering Department staff.
Direct plant wide safety and environmental activities.


Develop and implement training activities to meet regulatory requirements and advance safety and environmental programs.
Act as the plant representative to governmental agencies, consulting firms, law firms, etc.
Maintain records and reports required to document the facilities safety and environmental activities.
Manage specific regulatory operations within the engineering department including permitting and administration of RCRA, OSHA and EPA programs.
Direct facilities engineering and maintenance activities.
Prepare annual and 3 year budgets, and evaluate spending trends.
Manage the preparation and execution of department capital projects.
Manage plant construction projects.
Direct facilities maintenance activities, specific to building and grounds maintenance, utility equipment and plant waste water system.
Direct facilities department operation of utility systems and waste water system.
Direct and manage security operations for the facility.
Manage departmental spending, including purchase of required services,outside maintenance (Cleaning, Pest Control, HVAC etc.), parts and supplies,and plant wide utilities (Gas, Electric, Water, Fuel).
Where applicable, act as a community relations representative or spokesperson for L’Oreal USA.
Maintain and effective employee/labor relations environment.
Manage in conformance with “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP).
Maintain a clean and safe work environment (5S).
Manage and implement all L’Oreal USA policies, including but not limited to the Corporation’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
Perform other duties and necessary and required.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering preferred, MBA desirable.
