Position Summary Statement
The Sr. Director, WW Privacy Counsel, will advise on global data protection and privacy issues and be responsible for the company’s compliance with global privacy standards as more particularly described below.
Detailed Responsibilities/Duties
Complete the Company’s annual certification to the U.S.-EU and U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Frameworks.
Provide daily counsel on specific global data protection and privacy issues such as cross-border personal data transfers, the use of cloud services to house personal data and intra-company data transfers.
Provide daily counsel on the privacy and data privacy implications of Company’s internal information technology infrastructure and external web platforms and mobile applications.
Liaise with regional counsel around the world to ensure international consistency of best practices.
Serve as a member of the Company’s Privacy-Cyber task force and lead cross-departmental initiatives relating to various issues such as incident response preparedness, data mapping, classification and handling, and the Company’s internal privacy policies and external privacy notices.
Responsible for data privacy aspects of Incident Management Program.
Audit global data flows and counsel worldwide client groups to ensure compliance with regional privacy regulations.

Experience
10-12 years of experience as an attorney in a compliance related position.
Investigative experience, Compliance and/or education industry experience.
Positive leadership and maintenance of a strong team-working environment.
Experience in managing adversarial situations.
Reporting and communication at all levels.
Maintenance of policies and procedures.
Demonstrated experience in a customer service oriented environment.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree.
Juris Doctorate.
Preferred Qualifications
Creative “out-of-the-box” mindset.
Experience managing diverse groups of employees.
CIPP/US and/or CIPM certification.
