Senior Director Data and Content Innovation AIG New York

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Data and Content Management to support us at a strategic, tactical and operational level. You are the leading person in the team for ensuring our global businesses are aware of the data content and analytics platform expertise emergent which is emerging and/or is available in the world today. In this role, you will analyze and challenge the business needs regarding new & changed data products/ services by building and maintaining relationships with our Science and other AIG colleagues. You will be responsible for crafting creative data licensing commercial terms for the sources you identify. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content identification and sourcing as well as the ability to interface in a collaborative manner with data scientists and engineers across the organization.


What you will do:
-Search out new and innovative data sets in the world
-Analyze data requirements and develop strategies and solutions for positioning AIG to the ecosystem of data and analytics third party sources
-Establish relationships with third parties (start ups, established data companies, open data consortiums, etc.) and advise them in the direction favorable to AIG and Science's requirements
-Work with third parties to develop data sources and content to meet Science's requirements both current and future
-Liase with the Sourcing team to complete the purchase cycle
-Drive accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
-Resolve issues and prioritize actions
-Perform other duties as required

-10+ years' experience data content and analytics sourcing
-Solid project management skills are required, including the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously while maintaining a sense of urgency, as is an ability to operate effectively in an unstructured environment
-Strong analytical skills, Able to determine root cause through analysis
-Strong communication skills both in writing and verbal
-Independent and able to deal with ambiguity.
-Ability to provide creative solutions address operational issues
-University/College Degree; an MBA or MS equivalent would be advantageous
