Job description
We are seeking a Director of Publisher Development for eBay Partner Network (ePN). ePN is part of eBay’s Internet Marketing organization, which is a team operating at the forefront of e-commerce, combining marketing science and innovation to shape the future of online shopping.
Billions of dollars are transacted on eBay each year, and a key driver of this volume is our network of third-party websites allowing consumers to discover, research, and discuss their purchase options. eBay Partner Network, is responsible for partnering with these sites to drive consumers to eBay and connect them with the products they love. This entrepreneurial, forward-thinking, award-winning team currently works with over 300,000 websites globally to drive consideration-of-eBay and traffic-to-eBay on a daily basis, making it one of eBay’s most impactful marketing channels.
eBay has invested a significant amount of resources in our internet marketing capabilities over the last five years, staffing up in operations, product development, and analytics. As a result of this investment and the talent we have attracted, the internet marketing team has developed a center of excellence and now runs internet marketing for several of our channels globally out of Seattle, working closely with our business partners in Europe.
Primary Job Responsibilities include:
Identify growth opportunities within existing partner population and target areas for expansion, based on affiliate needs, retail calendar, and product initiatives.
Develop and execute a bold and sustainable recruitment strategy.
Coordinate with Communications and Product Management teams on release of new product features to ensure positive publisher impact and maximum adoption
Represent ePN in cross-departmental meetings and eBay at industry-related conferences• Drive innovation by monitoring internal needs, industry trends, and competitor actions for new ideas; vet product improvement opportunities for applicability to eBay, presenting those that make sense for execution
Research opportunities and familiarize self with product options using media research and publishing tools [e.g., comScore, Compete, WordPress, etc.]
Collaborate with other members of Internet Marketing for cross-channel knowledge sharing and efficiency gainsThis position reports to the Director, Global eBay Partner Network, and is based in Seattle, Washington.
5-8 years experience in online marketing; affilate marketing experience preferred
Experience leading high-performing team
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
