Job Description
Overall Purpose: Responsible for directing campaign and grassroots programs in support of company public policy objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for creating corporate public affairs and corporate reputation objectives within designated timeframes and allocated budgets within their region, segment or area of responsibility.
Plans, coordinates and implements strategies for highly complex communications programs, including earned and paid media, and various grassroots tactics like direct mail, telephone banks and social media. Responsible for coordinating and implementing public affairs programs and campaigns to drive policy makers action.
Directs advertising or public affairs agencies in the creative development, execution and measurement of programs intended to influence opinion regarding public policy issues. Responsible for directing regional and national public opinion research and polling with the intent of defining public sensitivities and opportunities that will be used in messaging of public affairs campaigns. Responsible for translating complex corporate policy goals into simple, easy to understand strategic messaging for third party groups and policy makers.
Education: Bachelors Degree preferred.
Experience: Typically requires 10 or more years of experience.
