Job Description
Comcast Business Services is expanding its video product portfolio within SMBs, enterprise businesses and across vertical markets such as Hospitality (hotel/motel) and Stadiums. The Director of Business Video will be responsible for the strategic planning, program management and implementation of these expanded services. In addition, this role will include extensive program management responsibilities associated with the company's video equipment & application initiatives and ongoing bandwidth reclamation efforts.


Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for the strategic planning, program management and implementation of new video services and applications across SMBs, enterprise and vertical markets
Develop the business video product roadmap in alignment with the companies X1 Platform and future video distribution methods (e.g. IPTV, 4K, etc.)
Work across both Business and Residential cross functional teams to build-out in-depth product requirements for all business video product initiatives
Develop Business video equipment and application strategies and partner with technical development teams to identify and develop solutions that meet video product requirements
Direct deployment efforts for all video product initiatives working with both the Business Services and Residential operations and deployment teams
Define and execute on operational strategies associated with supporting the company's ongoing bandwidth reclamation efforts with a focus on minimizing customer, field and operational impacts
Work with corporate programming, regulatory, marketing and finance teams to develop new pricing and packaging offerings
Partner with cross functional teams to identify and resolve product lifecycle challenges to continuously improve the customer experience
Oversee field sales and National Accounts ICB (Individual Case Basis) requests in relation to video product & pricing adjustment requests across all business segments
Core Responsibilities
Directs, establishes, maintains, and plans the overall policies and goals for a product management department.
Sets new product strategy for program or product group.
Applies expertise in state-of-the-art product technologies and is relied on by top management to serve as a proxy for the market.
Defines, develops, and implements standard operational frameworks for products.
Coordinates with sales and marketing to assess client and industry needs and identifies possible solutions to meet those needs.
Accountable for profit and loss or budgetary management of assigned products.
Develops business cases and supporting documentation.
Oversees development of assigned new products and services and ensures customer's needs are met. Provides product support and documentation and develops of product materials.
Manages lifecycle of new products and services.
Demonstrates excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time, in line with budget expectations and to strategy.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
BS in Business or related, relevant discipline
Minimum 10 years' experience in product management; recent or current experience in video product/program management within cable, telecom, or related industries required
Proven track record for successfully taking new products to market
Ability to build financially sound business cases and go to market strategies
Ability to analyze product metrics including core financials, sales, and churn data
Excellent project/program management skills required
Ability to influence desired outcomes in a matrixed organization
Ability to balance competing priorities a must
Excellent verbal and written communicator with ability to understand and document business, technical and operational concepts related to products and service offerings
Results driven, self-motivated individual with focus on goal achievement
Strong presentation skills
Ability to travel a must
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
Generally requires 10+ years related experience
