Summary:
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Director is a pivotal role that has company-wide visibility. As a NOC Director, you will be responsible for a diverse and growing network providing world-class access and managed services to SMB and Enterprise customers. You will drive results through the continued development of a team of technicians and engineers and through collaboration with multiple organizations including Network Planning, Engineering, Field Operations, and Order Processing.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
* 7+ years of hands-on telecom network operations (WAN, LAN, and Server) experience
* 5+ years hiring and managing highly technical teams
* 5+ years in a CLEC, ILEC, or Service Provider Organization

The primary responsibilities of the NOC Director position include:
* Hire, develop, and provide guidance to a team of high level technical and management staff
* Ensure timely and effective network infrastructure event response and resolution
* Develop and enforce network management and maintenance standard operating processes to ensure adherence to key network and customer satisfaction metrics
* Lead & enforce network change management activities incl. developing and approving change requests
* Plan, implement, and manage network projects related to acquisition and organic growth activity

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
* Excellent technical understanding of WAN, LAN, and Data Center Architecture
* Excellent understanding of Routing, Switching, and Voice Transmission protocols
* Excellent Communication and Project Management skills
* Excellent spreadsheet (MS Excel) and MS Visio skills
* Strong Leadership, Interpersonal, and Negotiation skills
* Strong Process development and documentation skills
* Sense of urgency
* Results oriented
* Ability to work with multiple departments
* Ability to interact with and present ideas and plans to senior management & executives
