JOB OVERVIEW: Reporting to the VP of SSD Strategic Solutions, as the Director of SSD Product Development for Toshiba Inc. you will responsible for providing the technical management and leadership in the creation of an SSD Product Development team. This role will include organizing and driving multiple functional teams to develop and ship Toshiba SSDs. This is a hands on position and in the development role you will be fully responsible for the entire product development lifecycle as applicable, which may range from product introduction, qualification, mass production and maintenance, as applicable.

REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's in EE/CE/CS with Master's in EE/CE/CS highly preferred * 15+ years' experience in the embedded systems development field * ASIC, Flash, SATA/SAS/PCIe experience with embedded architecture preferred * Experience in working with multi-functional teams (validation, design, test, Q&R, manufacturing) including multi-site or offshore teams * Knowledge of product development methodologies and practices with customer product validation / quality processes * Demonstrated record of SSD product development and solutions to Data Center or Enterprise class OEM customers * Familiar with JIRA systems and other online report systems * Strong ability to analyze complex issues, break them down and systematically resolve them, * Exceptional skill level in problem re-creation and solution recommendations and corrective actions * Previous hands on expertise in applications engineering, system failure analysis, and problem solving * A minimum of five years' experience in the effective management of direct reports * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English

RESPONSIBILITIES: * Build and maintain a world class product development organization, focused on Toshiba SSD. * Capture development requirements and problems and provide reporting, resolutions and solutions * Provide a clear product development framework and drive the teams to achieve milestone based accomplishments * Integrate with existing cross-site processes and work closely with validation teams to resolve issues * Develop and deliver detailed and properly summarized information regarding product readiness and quality prior to release * Working closely with multiple teams to ensure product meets specifications and specific customer requirements * Maintain and deliver results within a given budget
