Job Description
Strategic Responsibilities

• Develop business strategies and oversee execution of programs to achieve agreed financial targets by tracking campaign performance, financials, analyze gaps, develop and follow up action plans, and reviewing, planning and executing on business channel analytics
• Maximize all forms of Direct Marketing including direct mail, digital, radio and other forms of broad market, and fully utilize "POM" techniques for up-sell and cross-sell programs to achieve financial objectives
• Provide support and advice in market research, product offer structure (features and benefits), to help develop appropriate product offers to address customer segments and strategies

• Monitor campaigns in order to validate they are achieving targets. Work with internal and external campaign managers to define action plans to mitigate poor performing campaigns. This includes monitoring pre and post campaign PLs on a monthly basis, regularly verifying PL assumptions, monitoring lapses rates on a monthly basis
• Provide business support and direction to AIG internal analytics resources on product and customer segmentation analyses, campaign analytics, modeling, and other direct marketing business analytics needs.

People Management
• Build a results oriented and productive campaign marketing team, including hiring and training to implement AIG's best practices with regard to offer, package, segmentation and media
• Strong communication skills in terms of verbal and written (e.g. presentations to senior leaders)
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience for a team of 2-3 people
• Ensures that all areas with Direct Marketing Department are in compliance with AIG standards
• Drive business results by maintaining relationships with other AIG areas to ensure alignment of business objectives and customer needs including partnering with actuary, underwriting, claims, analytics, and the science team

Position Requirements
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree, 10 years’ experience in direct marketing
• Demonstrated experience in consumer insurance products helpful
• Direct mail experience required and digital marketing experience preferred
• Proven experience comfort with marketing analytics
• Desirable strength with numbers and business figures analysis
• Experience managing budgets and driving performance against target and KPI’s
• Excellent interpersonal relationships, capacity for information analysis, decision making, orientation to results, work under pressure
• Planning and developing teamwork-oriented
• Develops his/her work through creativity, adaptability and proactivity
• Balance the requirements of the campaigns in terms of resources, suppliers and relations with other areas of the company
• Demonstrated results in developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategy/programs
• Experience working with external agencies preferred
