Director M2M Business Development Gemalto Austin

Job Description
We are now seeking a M2M Business Development Director to join our M2M team in Austin, TX (preferred). In this position you will support the Americas M2M Business Unit in achieving its budget and Long Range Plan objectives.



This position is a business development position, with some sales responsibilities. It will require a clear understanding of the ecosystem including competitive positioning, technologies, country regulations and client needs. You should have the ability to handle a fast-paced business environment and work collaboratively under tight deadlines, with a range of positions and levels of authority.

You should also possess the qualities of excellent communications skills, organizational talents, efficient, conscientious, and reliable work habits. Areas of focus include regional market and sales strategy, offer definition and packaging, product definition and development tracking, product pricing, product positioning, business modeling, demand forecasting, customer training programs, industry events and trade shows within the region.

Responsibilities:

Develop the regional market strategy (mid and long term) for products and services and work with other teams (sales force, solution sales, technical consultants, product marketing, manufacturing, R&D…) to execute it

Define and package products and services offers to adapt to the North and South American market place to help strengthen Gemalto’s position within the regions. Work with other teams (product marketing, R&D, Solution sales, Sales, GGS) to bring to market on -time and deploy these offers.

Create competitive analysis for all products and services, market share measurement for each technology (cellular and short range technologies, GPS, solutions/services) and each the M2M/IOT business activity Provide regional feedback to the WW product organization

Manage main business relations with MNOs in the region

Pricing definition and sales strategy

Drive the Development of new offerings from conception to launch. Includes business modeling, building of new partnerships (if applicable) and justification for internal investment

Create customer training presentations on GTO M2M offerings. Develop new product introduction materials packages and customer presentations

Support tradeshows and press release theme, content and overall messaging

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications/Requirements:



Minimum 3 year sales or marketing experience

Seasoned business knowledge and a strong understanding of M2M and IoT.

Minimum of 50% domestic travel is required.

Education:

BS/BA is required. MBA or significant experience is preferred

Telecom and MNO knowledge
