Job description
ResponsibilitiesThis role leads the Learning and Organizational Development team and is responsible for human capital effectiveness through enterprise-wide learning and organizational development strategies and priorities. The leader will work closely with leadership and HR to identify root cause needs and develop solutions for improved organizational performance. A member of the HR Leadership Team, this role helps set, execute and measure success against HR strategies for the foundation.
• Lead and develop organization-wide strategies for learning and organizational development that are designed to achieve foundation goals. This requires an understanding of the current and future state of our business strategy and effectively translating the underlying human capital capability needed to drive desired performance.
• Work collaboratively to ensure business planning, performance management and talent development approaches are aligned to result in continuous improvement of performance
• Ensure the foundation's talent programs and curricula are aligned with our overall strategy, values and core competencies to achieve our missions.
• Oversee the design, marketing, delivery, and assessment of foundation-wide learning and organizational development strategies, programming, services, and training. This includes: leadership and team effectiveness models, performance management, new employee orientation and onboarding, technology/learning integration, competencies, change management, career development, and oversight of coaching engagements.
• Accountable for continuously improving the organization's talent development, learning and organizational development infrastructure, and for the measurement of it's success.
• Identify best practices within the field of Organizational and Talent Development. Inform the Executive Leadership Team on key trends related to learning and organizational development and performance approaches. Partner with the HRBP's to identify key areas for learning and development, formulate plans for completion and drive the successful delivery.
• Serve as a member of the HR leadership team and collaborate closely with HR leaders to integrate the learning and organizational development function with others in HR.
• This role manages people and is responsible for hiring and managing a collaborative team. Leadership oversight includes ensuring setting aligned department-wide goals, communicating performance expectations, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable.
Qualifications- Master's degree and 20+ years of experience.
• Business acumen and the ability to understand the employee and organizational implications of the business direction.
• Strategy development and strategic planning.
• Executive coaching and consulting; influence skills at all levels.
• Learning needs analysis, design and development; platform delivery skills; learning evaluation.
• Organization Development knowledge (org design, change management, org effectiveness, culture change).
• Talent development, talent management, and employee engagement.
• Survey and workforce analytics; statistical analysis.
• People leadership experience.
• Understanding of the alignment of Learning and Organizational Development to the broader Human Resources function.
