Job Description
We are currently considering candidates in both markets for this position. Please note, this position may require some travel or potential relocation depending on business needs. Relocation assistance will be available to those individuals that are required to relocate to support business needs. The BTS Director- IT leads and manages a portion of the BTS IT Delivery Team. He/She is responsible for the day to day leadership of their portfolio and team to deliver applications support for their respective business areas. They are responsible for the requirement gathering, design, implementation, support and maintenance of the applications in these areas.

The BTS National Manager (Director) - IT must mobilize resources and competencies in tresponsible for the requirement gathering, design, implementationhe Business Technology Services organization (BTS) to deliver projects on-time and within budget. He/She must bring discipline and structure to delivery of technology initiatives and take overall accountability for the implementation of the various technology initiatives in this portfolio. He/She thru speed, performance and quality deliver services to improve acceptance and adoption of BTS offerings across their domain.



The BTS National Manager (Director) - IT must work closely with their business Vice Presidents and their leadership team to define technology strategy and technology roadmap for the application portfolio. He/She functions as a strong and experienced technology advisor to their business partners. He/She must keep a close professional relationship with all members of their business partner Management Team and thru partnership and collaboration build trust between Business Technology Services and the business partner team. He/She must pro-actively provide technology solutions to support their business partners.

BTS National Manager (Director) - IT must hire and staff a capable team that supports their technology domains. He/She must provide thought leadership and support to the sub-teams to understand key business drivers. He/She must Champion their business partners’ technology initiatives. He/She must understand BTS offerings and potential fits for those offerings within their supported business groups. He/She must develop their team members and manage performance.



BTS National Manager (Director) - IT must collaborate across the group to evaluate / provide feedback on BTS processes, procedures and policies that impact the delivery of technology services to their business partners. He/She must support the CIO in the implementation of BTS strategy and governance.



BTS National Manager- (Director) - IT must be well-versed in client/server technologies and distributed computing. He/She must have experience with technologies that directly impact their business partners. He/She must continue to develop and grow competencies in response to the needs of their portfolio.



Major Duties and Responsibilities



30 % Leadership Duties:

5% Financial Management:

• Participate in Financial Management initiatives and upcoming fiscal year budget preparation.

• Review budgets for all core and project budgets within their portfolio

• Analyze and provide variance explanations for project and core plan expenditures monthly.

• Review monthly expenditure forecasts.

• Demonstrated leadership experience, ability to set direction and drive team to meet objectives

• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with leadership and all levels of Team Members.

• Demonstrated capability in technical leadership and success with both large and small projects

• Demonstrated ability to provide value across multiple projects or project activities to meet goals

• Project Management – 8 years of solid project management experience on medium to large projects

• Demonstrated organizational skills – has participated in resource planning and understands the theory and practice of resource utilization and is able to assess capacity and make appropriate staffing decisions

• Competency in developing effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems

• Demonstrated continued knowledge acquisition of emerging technologies

• Ability to educate all levels of Team Members.

• Ability to effectively interface with all departments within Toyota, TFS and BTS.

• Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and flexibility skills in a team-oriented environment.

• Proven ability to work well with IS and business units.



Experience/ Educational Requirements/ Licenses Or Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent job experience required

• Advanced degree such as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or an MS in Information Technology preferred but not required

• 12-15 years’ experience demonstrating a solid understanding of applications supporting corporate Finance, Risk, HR and Legal in a client/server and distributed application infrastructure.



Special Skills/Knowledge

• Understands the basic fundamentals of a client/server and distributed applications, project life cycle, and the basics of technical operations (networks, data center, database, integration, and migration activities)

• Detailed understanding of the fundamentals of ERP application (PeopleSoft or SAP) & reporting packages (Hyperion, Essbase), Treasury Applications (Cash management) and/or Risk Management, Analytics

• Understands basic Software Development Lifecycle methodologies

• Is proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
