Job description
Position Overview:
Lead Contract Services function to efficiently and effectively support the US Sales Organization. This involves ensuring the development, implementation, and consistent usage and application of contract templates, creation of custom contract language as needed, development of contracting strategies to support the US sales strategy, ensuring balance between customer needs and Siemens requirements, reducing contractual risks and compliance to all internal Siemens and external legal, compliance, financial and accounting regulations.



Lead the Contract Services team, including recruiting, hiring, training and developing specialists to consult with sales, marketing, legal, and finance to develop all required standard and customer contracts as well as various leasing options. This involves creating appropriate terms and conditions for all leasing options, negotiating and executing customer contracts consistent with Siemens legal, finance, and accounting policies and overall business strategy.

Manage team performance, specifically related to turnaround times for requests, adherence to DoA, adherence to contract terms/conditions/template usage, finance/accounting requirements, escalation policy and all other requirements.

Lead the development of contracting strategy to meet long-range plans and goals through the design and implementation of contracting options, including new products and programs. This includes developing contract terms, conditions, contractual and leasing strategy including face to face customer financial/contractual negotiations of large complex transactions including GPO/IDN agreements.

Create, modify, and implement all DX standard customer contract templates for the transacting of DX business terms and conditions language library to meet the needs of the business and our customer. This includes the development and implementation of customer contracts and customer contract templates to support partnering relationships with Siemens Financial Services, banks, financing institutions and third-party leasing organizations, with a focus on ensuring contract support for large IDN transactions and other transactions as appropriate.

Successfully define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to optimize effectiveness. Develop, design, and implement process improvements to optimize resource efficiency and productivity. Plan, organize and lead major project management initiatives for productivity/process redesign to achieve alignment of department policies and procedures with company strategies.

Serve as liaison to legal team and coordinate with legal, leasing and the corporate controller on the terms and conditions of sales contracts and proposals, driving consistency throughout the organization as needed.

Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to develop solutions to support product retirement and new product launches.

Develop training modules and implement training programs for the field sales work force regarding contracts, leases and customer service to fully leverage our internal systems and processes in the field. Direct internal training activities to maximize systems utilization to minimize financial exposure.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
10+ years of experience in Contract Services
Healthcare Industry knowledge
Experience with employee development
Customer-facing experience (internal and external)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
SAP knowledge is a plus
