Job Description
This position will oversee all content marketing initiatives, across multiple platforms, formats, brands and audiences to drive thought leadership, sales, engagement, retention, leads and positive customer behavior. Your role requires a combination marketing and publishing mindset, and will be responsible for identifying appropriate channels for promotions and hitting key metrics set for the content marketing program.

Define our content marketing strategy based on company wide goals that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term.
Through content strategy grow traffic, SEO, user engagement and monetize the traffic.
Deliver a content calendar and mapping plan that covers distinct channels and is tied to the marketing strategy, customer research and brand focus.
Lead a team of writers and content creators. Guide them through the ever evolving content marketing landscape.
Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for each channel including online, social media, email, mobile, and print.
Identify unique narratives based on current market trends, deliver content themes/topics and execute a plan that capitalizes on topical conversations.
Supervise writers, and content strategists; be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style.
Produce high quality content on a daily basis, which includes customer case studies, blogs, infographics, video, whitepapers, reports, etc.
Create and enhance the strategies for the Shutterstock’s blogs and partner with our digital marketing team to promote content on appropriate channels and ramp up the readership of our blog.
Use analytics to continually optimize the program; partner with our performance marketing team to adjust the program as needed.
Define our content /social strategy; oversee management of our online communities, including but not limited to Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, and Pinterest.
Develop and socialize standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies.
As part of content strategy, manage amplification budget and activities related to content promotion.
Guide UX product design efforts focused on integrating original and user-generated content and data to create self-improving and increasingly more relevant and personal customer experiences and systems.

Desired Skills & Experience
10-12 years of experience in content marketing, ideally in enterprise.
Management experience, ideally 5 years.
A proven track record of successfully implementing a content marketing strategy in support of brand building, demand generation goals and thought leadership.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external members of the team including members who are technical, non-technical, partners and senior executives.
Creative thinker and leader with strong management, leadership, and mentoring skills
Strong understanding of localization strategies and execution.
Ability to clearly articulate the measurable business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content. ROI focused, metrics driven.
Proven experience in being able to turnaround raw ideas/concepts into content or creative suitable for publishing across various channels that help meet demand gen or awareness objectives.
Strong creative sensibilities and a visual eye for design aesthetics, visual content curation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of internal and external audiences.
The ability to lead and inspire a team of creative personnel and content creators to achieve company's stated goals.
