Job Description
CGI seeks a seasoned, high-impact business development executive with a broad strategic perspective and a proven track record of success in growing businesses, delivering solutions to problems, and developing and executing sound internal processes from the ground up.
This role is responsible for building the pipeline for organic growth by ensuring excellence in the planning and delivery of full life cycle business development activities, with a particular focus on civilian agencies. The successful executive will drive strategic planning, management and direction of bid and proposal (B&P) resources, target identification, capture strategies, proposal management, contract award, and customer relations.
In this role, the Director will collaborate with counterparts across the Federal Sector to ensure that best-of-breed solutions are brought forward to customers and that CGI is appropriately positioned within civilian agencies.
Critical Competencies and Experience
• Minimum of 15 years of business development and strategy experience (if post-active duty, a minimum of five (5) years) within organizations known for building high-performing business development functions.
• Demonstrated history of winning large, competitive IT services contracts.
• Solid relationships with key government contracting personnel in the company’s core business lines.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build win-win partnerships within a firm/corporation, with a particular focus on understanding how to leverage technology differentiators.
• Demonstrated ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior management.
• Ability to constructively influence and interact at the highest levels of the company and in target customer agencies.
• Excellent communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills are required as well as an ability to inspire confidence and provide business development leadership throughout the company.

Education
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree from a leading academic institution. A Master’s or other advanced degrees/relevant certifications are preferred.
