Senior Director - Quality Engineering - NVIDIA - Santa Clara

Job description
Direct US Supplier Quality Engineering activities to achieve highest level of quality. Engage with internal organizations to select suppliers for key components. Establish supplier selection and qualification processes to ensure smooth transition of system products from development to high volume manufacturing. Ensure quality metrics are monitored daily, weekly, monthly and annually to drive continuous improvement. Develop and implement processes which stabilize quality levels both internally and externally from design to final production. Where applicable, drive automotive quality processes into supply chain.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supplier Selection
- Help develop and implement supplier selection process
- Direct DFMEA/PFMEA for critical suppliers
- Coordinate SQE needs/concerns to development groups to ensure efficient and seamless manufacturing

Component Supplier Quality
- Drive quality initiatives by monitoring actual SPC, DPPM and Cpk data
- Ensure failure analysis turn-around times targets are met
- Direct 8D reporting on component failures
- Manage change processes
- Conduct quality business reviews and quarterly audits

Other responsibilities
- Conduct audits of US based critical suppliers
- Help manage approved vendor list for suppliers
- Direct supplier quality agreements and contracts
- Establish DPPM target agreements with customers
- Automotive Supplier Quality:
- Administer PPAP for key components (AECQ, IPC, IIEE)
- Implement APQP process for new programs

Organization
- Manage US based supplier quality engineering teams

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
10 years of consumer system/semiconductor experience in areas of supplier quality, components, commodity management, component engineering and contractor manufacturing. Automotive experience a plus. Global supply chain knowledge would be beneficial. Excellent communication/ collaboration skills and flexibility are essential for this position.
