Senior Director - Product Management - Tesla - NVIDIA - Santa Clara
Job description
We are looking for a leader of product management to drive the next phase of growth for the Tesla business unit. You must have a proven track record of driving a winning product strategy and execution of a fast growing business. GPU-accelerated computing with Tesla uses the graphics processing unit (GPU) together with a CPU to accelerate scientific, analytics, engineering, consumer, and enterprise applications.
Pioneered in 2007 by NVIDIA, GPU accelerators now power energy-efficient datacenters in government labs, universities, enterprises, and small-and-medium businesses around the world. GPUs are accelerating applications in platforms ranging from cars, to mobile phones and tablets, to drones and robots.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be the primary leader for the product management team for the Tesla business unit including roadmap, competitive analysis, product development, forecasting, and cross functional leadership across multiple groups within NVIDIA. Understanding of data center technologies, systems, and products is a must. As you will interact daily with system OEMs, data center customers, sales teams, internal engineering leadership, the position requires the ability to present complex topics in a clear and concise way.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideal candidate is a proven product leader in data center computing
- A veteran in the technical computing systems or solutions industry with proven track record of excellence in driving product strategy, P&L management, lifecycle management, and execution
- Variety of experiences in areas such as computer systems, system software, processor or high performance storage are a good preparation for this position
- Ability to drive and thrive in a fast moving, high performance cross functional organization
- Knowledge of current business trends, technologies, and key players
- Strong sense of success driven by measurement and analytics
- Clear marketing, positioning and strategy skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced independent culture
- Intellectually honest and self-critical
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of NVIDIA.
- Team oriented; able to work effectively in a matrix organization
- Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline required. MBA or equivalent a plus.
