Senior Director - Marketing Innovation - Global Beverages - PepsiCo - Purchase


Job description
The Sr. Director will lead a cross-functional team responsible for prioritizing geographic and platform opportunities, creating consumer and system solutions, developing and commercializing the idea, launching it in the market and managing the innovation through its initial in-market period and then integrating it into the local organization. .


Accountabilities:
Create vision for a global MMO platform at PEP by partnering with R&D, Insights, Ops, Design and E-Comm
Leveraging disruptive innovation techniques to prove out critical elements of and adapt PEP's MMO strategy accordingly
Develop PEP's marketing approach for MMO globally and locally
Lead cross-functional team to commercialize opportunities
Explore partnership opportunities
Direct internal and external agencies in innovation strategy, product development, visual identity, and design from briefing stage thru to final execution.
Drive all partners towards innovative thinking in both the ultimate deliverables as well as the ways-of-working.
Build on GBG vision to develop a talent acquisition strategy to attract and retain entrepreneurial-minded talent.
Direct the completion of senor executive-ready critical analysis of opportunity spaces, competitive activity, category trends, and new product performance.

Qualifications:

10 years of marketing/innovation experience with some insight background, preferably from a MMO coffee / specialized appliance company (Nespresso, Keurig; Dyson, Sub-Zero) or a global diversified appliance / technology firm (Samsung, Apple, Whirlpool, LG). Will consider entrepreneurs with relevant start-up experience.
People Management - Must have direct line management skills and experience of mentoring and managing direct reports
Critical thinking - Ability to balance left/right brain thinking to think conceptually & analytically
Project management - Experience navigating a cross-functional organization, developing execution plans, and managing innovation process works from early R&D to market hand-off
Process thought leadership - Ability to work with a broad array of tools and methods as well as designing new tools and methods where traditional ways of working fail
Dealing with Ambiguity - due to both inherent ambiguity in innovation processes and still in development structure and process related to the GBG group
Interpersonal/Political Savvy - will need to quickly develop relationships and trust with a wide variety of cross functional and global colleagues (often at higher levels in the organization)
Global experience
Communication: Ability to conduct analysis, synthesize key learning and build communication
Powerpoint / Excel - Ability to use key tools for analysis and communication
Bachelors degree required
Must be willing to travel 10-30% of the time.
