Job description
The Senior Director EM Make will report to the Global VP EM Make and will represent NA on the Global EM Make LT Team. This position will also have a dotted line with Regional VP of Manufacturing and expected to operate under strong collaboration with all functions that constitutes the E2E Supply Chain.
This position is accountable for developing strong Make capabilities among the EM team transforming the way we manage the External Manufacturing Network in all aspects of the operations to ensure that products meet quality and compliance standards, are available to customer as needed and deliver the right value to consumers and the business. At this level, the position has a direct contribution in developing business strategies and creating network alternatives to unlock competitive advantage as well as the responsibility for managing multiple teams of directors and managers engaging people into a relevant career’s experience.
The Senior Director, EM is responsible for continuously improve reliability across the manufacturing network. He provides imputes for EMs development, leads implementation of policies, standards, guidelines, technology and procedures for managing EMs, establishes and manages partnerships with strategic suppliers in order to deliver on regional strategic commitments. This individual will contribute to EMs selection and product relocation by bringing the Make point of view in the discussion including technical and process details for the products to be manufactured at the contract manufacturing facility while supporting Source Quality in developing and implementing supplier quality management program.
The Senior Director, EM will lead the execution of contracts to ensure optimum costs, reliable and compliant supply of products. Aligns with other supply chain leadership to ensure successful process improvements and project execution, reviews prospective improvements, corrective actions, validations and manufacturing scale ups at the sites and provides leadership in resolving and escalating problems. He plays a key role in ensuring on time site readiness.
This role will provide monthly metrics to top management to ensure quality & compliance, customer service; reliability and cost are in line with business plans and strategic goals both at regional and global level. This individual will maintain the awareness of current industry trends and conditions that affect suppliers, cost of goods, pricing and may have operational or strategic implications for the company.
As People Manager, this role must ensure employees under the scope of responsibility are trained in required procedures for the execution of their role and maintain current with training requirements during the year; must promote an environment of employee involvement in the work place and must seek prompt identification, reporting and correction of deviations in the workplace as noted by employees

Contract Manufacturing
The qualified candidate will have a minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience. 15 years experience in a combination of the following related areas: Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Strategic Sourcing and Distribution. The candidate must have at least 8 years of management experience with extensive experience managing direct reports and a large team through the performance cycle. Strong project management skills and any combination of operations management, negotiation, financial or analytical skills are required. An entrepreneurial self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence across functional levels up to the Board or Ownership is also required. Strong knowledge of cGMPs is required, with additional experience in Medical devices and Pharmaceuticals' preferred. Prior experience in managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and working on supplier agreements is strongly preferred. Prior knowledge of Advanced planning systems such as ERP, MRP, and SAP is preferred. Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification is preferred.
This candidate may be required to travel up to 25% of the time. The position is based in Skillman, NJ.
