Director - Solution - GHX - Louisville


Job description
The Director, Solution Specialists is responsible for developing and deploying solution selling professionals that align with our sales process, and whose primary focus is to provide technical expertise to facilitate the qualification, presentation and closing of deals. This role will partner with sales team management to strategically deploy resources in support of the GHX solution across all current product portfolios to prospects, customers and at industry conferences.

Provide clear vision and strategies in development of aligned sales plan with sales management
Reinforce performance objectives through strong sales processes, technical and customer knowledge
Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Customer Relations and other internal GHX departments to drive internal customer value and satisfaction.
Develop team to prepare and present assessment findings to prospects and clients to validate sales opportunity and advance sales cycle based on ROI.
Develop team to deliver technical solution demonstrations to persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
Develop team to respond to technical components of RFI’s and RFP’s to validate decision criteria.
Support marketing activities by deploying resources attending and participating in industry conferences, trade shows and other marketing events. Maintain up to date specific industry, regulatory and/or product knowledge
Maintain a fluent understanding of eHealthcare market trends, the healthcare supply chain, and competitive activities.
Manage day-to-day activities; direct, coach and motivate direct reports
Recruit, hire, and train Solution Specialists

Required Skills
Strong leadership, strategic mind set, high-level business acumen, analytical skills.
Able to navigate and manage team to support complex solutions to the C-suite and V-level.
Ability to set team and individual strategic objectives, coach behavior, and provide feedback
Ability to identify and solve internal customer problems and increase efficiency and value.
Ability to speak publicly in large and high visibility forums.

Preferred Skills
Able to present technologies as business solutions with competitive and hands-on knowledge.
Managing to consultative sales methods and solution selling skills.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite and CRM applications.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years solution engineer management experience or equivalent work experience
Self driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
Proven effectiveness working in a collaborative environment.
Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Direct people management and development experience
Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications
Expert knowledge in ERP Systems, Product Development, Sales, and/or Engineering
Direct people management and development experience, including hiring and performance management.
Healthcare systems, medical or software solutions sales.
