Job description
Primary Responsibilities
Drive future phase planning and integration business strategy for implementation of Salesforce for Sales and Relationship Associates throughout PI. Act as a key member of the business strategy team by looking beyond the current implementation phase to anticipate, identify, and document business capabilities and end user needs of the following phases. Manage business integration strategy, looking holistically at sales management processes and building partnerships to uncover and drive additional opportunities to leverage Salesforce.com for additional process improvements.
Specific responsibilities for this position include:
Design and conduct detailed needs assessment / readiness assessment for business groups who will leverage Salesforce.com in the future
Identify unique aspects of business processes for future deployment groups and partner with Business Product Manager to determine alignment strategy and ensure up to date prioritized backlog
Drive cross-functional discussions with broad stakeholder group to resolve differences and drive alignment across groups and with Salesforce.com non-custom best practice capabilities
Maintain strong influential relationships with individuals responsible for managing or delivering related initiatives
Build / refine strategic roadmap for how Salesforce.com will integrate with related initiatives
Ensure engagement of business stakeholders by socializing key concepts and approaches, soliciting input, and confirming direction
Understand business strategies and how they impact future workflows and technology needs
Develop and maintain influential cross company business relationships with headquarters teams, field leaders, technology, and others as needed
Supports deployment and adoption efforts by clearly articulates how the work fits with other initiatives impacting the field
Proactively monitors and resolves project interdependencies, partnering with others across cross-functional boundaries to ensure coordinated planning and aligned deliverables
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience
Candidates should have direct experience with deploying and/or enhancing Salesforce.com on a large scale. Additionally, candidates should have exceptional ability to understand complex business problems, to articulate interconnections and dependencies, and to partner across many groups in crafting actionable solutions.
In addition:
Deep understanding of customer-facing sales and relationship roles in a large organization
Experience driving business process change, gaining buy-in, and overseeing execution
College degree plus at least 7 years experience
MBA preferred
Experience in product development, marketing, or related field
Skills and Knowledge
Direct experience with Salesforce large-scale implementations (3+ years experience preferred)
Experience designing and/or transforming sales and relationship management business processes
Ability to communicate Salesforce.com best practices for scaling into the future, preserving ability to leverage Salesforce.com future releases and Apps
Ability to articulate decision factors and design trade-offs associated with avoiding over-customization of Salesforce.com
Salesforce.com consultant certifications preferred
Proven ability to effectively collaborate and drive consensus through thought leadership and executional excellence
Demonstrated success working in a multi-stakeholder environment
Proactive results orientation with a bias toward action
Ability to handle multiple complex projects
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written – ability to translate complex questions and concepts into simple communications for senior leaders and the field
Change management orientation
Strong business analysis skills and analytical thinking orientation
Strategic thinking
B2C financial services experience preferred
Familiarity with Lean principles including MVP / MMP
Familiarity with Agile Scrum
