Director, Global Quality - Security Technologies - Ingersoll Rand - Carmel
Job Description

The Director, Global Quality for Security Technologies will support our cultural transformation aligned to the enterprise strategic priorities of Growth through Innovation and Emerging Markets, Operational Excellence, and enabling a Progressive, Diverse, and Inclusive culture.
Will have a passion for creating an exceptionally talented and robust organization through transformational change and cross-functional alignment to ensure product quality and reliability offers a competitive advantage, while working to reduce the cost of quality across more than dozen manufacturing sites globally.
Create and lead all quality and reliability related initiatives throughout the sector. Proven change agent with extensive experience in formal "customer-focused" quality initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and complex, systemic internal change initiatives. Ideal candidate will have automotive background, leading TS164949, PPAP, Tier 1 Supplier Quality, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Total Quality Management initiatives.
Drive a proactive Quality team where everyone clearly understands their role. Articulate goals and expectations, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Provide positive motivation, and increase customer facing awareness throughout the sector to drive a "Zero Quality Defect" mindset.
In collaboration with Supply Chain Management, continue implementation of a highly effective Supplier Quality management program to assure the company¡¦s suppliers meet quality, delivery and cost objectives.
Have a deep understanding of global regulatory landscape and ensure compliance. Communicate status on high level metrics such as DPPM, COPQ, supplier quality, process capability while ensuring quality specs are consistently established and deployed and harmonizing a global team.
Lead with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions and manage in a complex matrix environment. Must have proven track record in team management, managing multiple projects simultaneously, implementing and driving change, detail orientation, strong analytical skills, market knowledge, customer focus and sound judgment.
Must have strong multinational exposure, including Europe and Asia.
B.S. degree in Science or Engineering; Masters preferred
8+ years of experience in Quality function, minimum 4 years in Quality leadership role
5+ years of experience in Operations Management
Prefer automotive background, with TS16949, PPAP, Tier 1 supplier experience
Ability to listen to customers, conduct root cause analysis and articulate corrective actions clearly
Broad quality and regulatory compliance background in a manufacturing environment, with more than fifteen years of demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility
Demonstrated success in lean manufacturing and formal QMS implementation
Strong interpersonal/communications skills
