Director - Business Development - Quark - Intel Corporation - Santa Clara


Job description
This role will be part of the leadership team that defines, sources, develops, closes and manages business relationships with Strategic Partners to implement solid, scalable and growing IoT solutions that maximize Intel's content within the partner's solutions.

1) Defining. Along with the rest of the team setting and clarifying the team's strategies. This element of the role requires deep knowledge of Intel's strategies.

2) Sourcing. Identifying, screening and prioritizing potential business relationships. This element of the role requires a wide network of relationships within industries, experience in eco-system analysis and the ability to comprehend the key business drivers of the different players in the eco-system.
3) Developing. The key role is to build relationships that strategically influences partners to become aligned with our strategies. This element of the role requires the ability to build CxO Level relationships within Strategic Accounts. Experience of new business creation is essential here.
4) Closing. Ensuring the Strategic Accounts commit to alignment with our strategies. This element of the role requires the proven ability to close deals with sales organization across the full spectrum of business solution relationships.
5) Managing. Ensuring the Strategic Accounts deliver Intel based solutions. This element of the role requires the proven ability to manage on-going business relationships across the full spectrum of account management techniques including but not limited to partner training/enablement, joint solution collateral development, joint target setting, event activities, program monitoring, purchasing processes and strategic alignment reviews.

The role will manage a globally dispersed team of 5-10 people.

Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate should have 10+ years of experience aligned with the following responsibilities that will include, but are not limited to, the following:


-Working directly with Strategic Accounts to develop IoT solutions based on Intel and partner products and services. Leverages extensive business knowledge to apply learnings or concepts from other industries to create a future opportunities.
-Managing multiple projects through direct and virtual teams.
-Working with SMG colleagues helping to develop the business relationships with our partners and their customers.
-Working across multiple divisions and groups within Intel to develop IoT solutions. Manages the communication process across multiple organizations.
-Making business decisions and proposing solution business models that satisfy the needs of Intel and the customers.
-Promoting and evangelizing Intel, by ensuring that the solutions utilize the breadth of Intel's products.
-Understanding customer problems, and solving them through the combination of Intel and Strategic Partners solutions.
-Being able to determine, and develop, the business value of any solution, and how it could be extended. Able to visualize new business opportunities from changing market conditions.
-Providing feedback to the Division on product needs to meet emerging demands.
-Driving the group towards solutions to complex problems. Leads the group in key new directions, completes critical deals to the company
