Senior Director - Science Business Partner - AIG - New York
Job description
We are looking for top-notch business partners to join our team and create the next wave of insurance innovations.
What you will do:
-Own several critical and fast-paced initiatives affecting a global customer base; oversee projects from idea conception and strategy development to deployment, production, and operations.
-Create robust, testable, and scalable solutions that go immediately into field testing and cover the entire spectrum of execution (operations, finance, organization, technology, and legal and regulations).
-Build extensive relationships with diverse stakeholders-industry professionals of all levels and functions, including external partners at startups, universities, and other global companies.
-Solve the most challenging business problems to outpace a very diverse and active set of competitors-both established insurance companies and new entrants into the market.

Qualifications:
-Strong critical thinker with experience in "pyramid, hypothesis-driven" problem analysis and communication.
-Refined communication and influencing skills adaptable to both technical and non-technical audiences, including global senior business leaders and functional managers.
-Comfortable working on multiple large projects, given fast-changing priorities.
-Excellence in managing time and resources to drive projects to successful conclusions.
-Capability to lead complex substantive analysis, including statistical modeling on large data sets.
-Drive and experience to push teams to achieve superior performance while creating a supportive developmental environment.
-Significant (10+ years) experience across a variety of functions (such as business analytics, strategy, organization, operations, finance, technology, etc.)
-Trained or proficient in lean operations, project management.
-Familiar with or a fast learner of novel technologies.
-Master's degree, advanced education, or additional experience is advantageous.
-Cross industry or management consulting experience is a plus
