Position Overview
The head of the Operations group for all rotating equipment manufacturing and final assembly with a budget spend in excess of $35M for a group of approximately 200 salary and production employees
This position reports directly into the head of Gas Turbine Operations in North America.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Proven leadership that drives HSE as the cornerstone of the operating groups
Manage the development and implementation of lean manufacturing processes to ensure that all processes and products conform to Siemens standards while meeting all quality objectives.
Conceptualizes and directs the definition of the largest and most complex projects, selecting sources and monitoring results.
Directs the largest and most complex projects, including project organization, definition, planning, implementation and control for large size CoC’s.
Conceptualizes and directs technical standards, directs the development of the most complex manufacturing technology developments and procedures.
Successfully defines work flows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness.
Area of responsibility has high strategic, long-term impact. Often is required to create/conceptualize new systems, programs, or products with significant business impact.
Full responsibility for the development and management of multiple organization budgets and business plans that include new product introduction, Capital Investment and new technology introduction.
Identifies cross-functional resource needs with complete authority to approve identified needs.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Minimum of 10 years of technical and commercial experience directly related to the the power generation industry is strongly preferred. Specific experience in fossil power generation operations is ideal.
10+ years of direct leadership experience with in depth knowledge in a large scale machining and assembly operations under a lean manufacturing foundation is required with the ability to independently develop and drive the strategic quality direction for the organization.
BS degree in Engienering required with a preference – Master Degree in an Engineering Field or equivalent combination of education and experience in a direct operations role
