Job description
Aim and Purpose
Create gaming programs and events that celebrate players and competitive play, at all skill levels, to drive year-round engagement and monetization across EA franchises.
Goals
Enable players to participate in an EA eSports tournament on any day of the year.
Drive appointment to play and appointment to view.
Enable, fuel and amplify conversation and social engagement.

Drive post-purchase engagement and monetization.
Culturally align EA content with what matters to our audience day to day.
Develop a 3 year road map and business plan which transitions our eSports program from cost center to profit generator.
Drive inclusion over exclusion: gaming is for everyone.
Strategy, planning and execution
Create, assess and evolve EA’s vision, mission, strategy and objectives for eSports in North America.
Monitor, determine and surface industry and local insights to inform our strategic approach.
Determine content and logistics requirements and partner with studio teams to secure.
Establish success metrics and brief multiple cross-functional internal teams, together with external partners.
Build and manage the execution of fully integrated tournament and event plans which leverage all marketing channels to drive awareness and engagement.
Partner with Business Development and Legal teams to create terms which enable valued player transactions.
Oversee eSports scheduling. Program in-game and out of game contests which culminate in major in-person and broadcast experiential entertainment events.
Oversee the assessment of campaign and program effectiveness and determine insights to inform adaptation and improvement.
Develop and distribute executive reports in support of functional business reviews and overarching North America campaign summaries.

Partnerships
Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal marketing and studio teams to secure required in-game functionality and mechanics.
Partner closely with community managers to promote and amplify player events.
Identify, connect with and secure credible brand, media, first party and retail partners who can deliver incremental reach, engagement and monetization across owned, earned and paid channels.
Identify, connect with and secure partners who can support financial and logistical hosting requirements.
Manage and develop relationships with relevant eSports and agency partners.

Requirements
A motivated self-starter with 3+ years experience leading best-in-class eSports programs to deliver demonstrable engagement and monetization returns.
Proven track record in defining eSports experiential strategies, in designing compelling tournament programs, and in building strong brand and media partnerships.
Strong organizational, planning and inter-personal skills; with an ability to motivate and influence key stakeholders across multiple disciplines and at all levels.
Flexible and dynamic with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing goals and objectives.
