Director - Global Employer Brand - Apple - Santa Clara Valley


Job description
The Global Employer Brand Director has responsibility for designing, developing and implementing the Employer Brand strategy for Apple Retail across all existing and future markets. They will also have responsibility and oversight of global vendor management, general support of process methods and business readiness to support the brand execution and recruiting results.


The purpose of the role is to build and develop large scale processes, services and a support strategy to meet the demands of both internal customers and candidate needs while ensuring our brand is appropriately aligned and overall inspiring. The role will lead a team of project and program managers, and partner with a designed matrix team comprised of procurement, legal, vendors and planners, who work with the Worldwide recruiting organization and business partners to deliver global solutions. Additionally, this role will oversee the delivery of recruiting reports and communications through a data and analytics team.

The successful candidate will lead and inspire their direct team, while delivering an exceptional experience for our employees, candidates and hiring mangers. This person must be resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results oriented with high energy and a positive attitude. This person must also stay current with best practices in the industry and consistently demand and model a commitment to excellence.

Key Qualifications

Leadership - Have successfully led geographically dispersed teams, virtual-teams and resources. This position will manage a central team, and partner closely with the in-geo Leadership teams.
Excellent interpersonal, management, and networking/influencing skills – at all levels – and to both internal and external stakeholders. Approachable. Ability to build and maintain partnerships, notably with Brand, Comms, PR, Marketing, and wider HR teams. Fosters strong and collaborative working relationships with leaders across the company.

Proven track record of delivering employer-branding solutions across international markets in a global business
Analytical. Ability to research and identify strategic trends in internal and external talent communities.
Subject matter expert: Experience with key social media tools (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube).
Understands the internal recruiting technology landscape. Ability to work with internal owners of our recruiting technologies, to ensure our infrastructure can support and showcase our Employer Brand strategy.
Knowledge of all aspects of professional level and volume recruitment, including executive sourcing.

Description

Key elements of the role will include:
Gives direction to , leads and empowers a high performing recruiting operations team to produce the excellence required through inspiration, motivation, development and within the Apple Credo.
Lead large scale projects. Including data, analytics and communications to support the delivery and execution of newly designed resources, programs and communication of results.
External Insight: Work with external research partners and internal Sourcing teams to capture meaningful insight and trends from target candidate communities. Capture insight in new and existing markets to best inform decisions and direction.
Employee Value Proposition (EVP): Using internal and external insight, and in partnership with key internal stakeholders, develop the global EVP for Apple Retail. Localize EVP to reflect cultural nuance across international markets. Evolve the EVP over time to keep pace with Apple’s ever-changing business.
Content generation: Work closely with Brand, Marketing, PR and Recruiting teams to develop a rich portfolio of multi-media content to showcase the EVP. Seek synergies between corporate Marketing/PR and recruiting communications. Leverage existing marketing assets and PR plans for recruiting purposes. Ensure content portfolio is readily available to be implemented & used by recruiting and Sourcing teams worldwide.
Candidate experience: Use content portfolio to bring the EVP to life in every step of the candidate journey, including Recruiting media, careers website, all candidate communications, selection events, campus events, offer and onboarding processes. Drive global consistency into the candidate journey.
Evolve our approach to recruiting via Social Media (e.g. LinkedIn, YouTube, etc). Ensure global sourcing teams and media-partners are provided with tools, training and guidance through which Apple can hire the best talent, anywhere in the world. Seek and secure support & expertise from Brand, Comms, Marketing as required.
Measurement: Measure the effectiveness of the employer brand strategy across key data points (e.g. external employer brand surveys, click-volumes, application numbers, candidate-satisfaction feedback, hiring-event-conversions etc). Implement continuous improvement plans based on learnings.
Builds recruiting products in collaboration with the One People Team to support hiring activities and the candidate experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
10 years of related experience and team leadership required.
5 years experience in recruiting research, analytics and development of communication strategies.
5 years experience in Employer Brand development.
5 years experience in program design and implementation.

Based in Cupertino. There is no requirement to be fluent in any language other than English.
Willingness & flexibility to travel as required to fulfill requirements of the role.
