Position Description

We are currently seeking a Director, Senior Lead Enterprise Architect. As Senior Lead Enterprise Architect you will create and manage application architecture blueprints and strategic roadmaps across the enterprise. You will be responsible for identifying leading technology trends and working closely with business unit architects and other business and technology stakeholders to define and ensure adherence to application architecture standards across the enterprise.


Responsibilities include:

Partner with business unit Application Architects and other business and IT stakeholders to define and maintain application architecture blueprints (current and future state)


Create and maintain an end-to-end view of the application portfolio and connectivity maps across the enterprise to inform application design and also identify standardization opportunities and support IT investment decisions


Coordinate with MHF business unit, IT architects, and overall IT leadership on enterprise application roadmaps


Identify leading technology trends and their applicability to MHF


Recommend and lead the creation of enterprise-level application development standards (SDLC, APIs, frameworks and toolkits, development patterns, documentation standards, etc.) and work with business unit architects to promote adherence


Resolve application architecture issues and engage Enterprise Architecture leadership for high priority issues and decisions


Provide application architecture guidance and solution design support to enterprise initiatives


Create enterprise wide current and target state enterprise application architecture blueprint with a goal to establish a common IT language across the organization and ensure IT capability and investment alignment to MHF business strategy


Reduce complexity, improve time-to-market, and talent mobility through application architecture standards; participate in project and design reviews to ensure that standards are communicated and followed


Improve efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership, development, and implementation


Create a foundation for new products and revenue streams through a joint application architecture model across existing MHF business units


Participate in project design reviews and ensure that enterprise standards are being met

Qualifications





Senior level (10 years) experience, with 5 years in the Financial Services industry


Extensive experience with application architecture, capability planning, and alignment of IT to corporate and business unit strategy


Deep understanding of the relationship between application design, data and infrastructure environments


Expertise in large-scale enterprise system development and integration


Experience in establishing IT standards based on industry best practices and implementing them across the enterprise


Highly experienced in driving change across the organizational boundaries


Experience in standing up new processes and supporting an environment of continuous improvement


Minimum four-year degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related degree program, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree in Business (MBA), Computer Science/Software Engineering or related degree program is a plus


Understanding of business, processes, practices and approaches


Experience in regulatory requirements of the business and Financial Services industry


Expertise of technology applicability to businesses


Use of logic, negotiation and facilitation to build consensus, alignment and direction
