Director - Global Brand & Product Marketing - Visa - Foster City

As part of the Global Brand & Product Marketing team, this Director will be responsible for overall oversight of communications platform and global campaigns across all channels. Key responsibilities include campaign optimization, global thought-leadership on creative excellence, and training and consulting with markets.


Responsibilities

Define & Optimize Global Communications Platform
Champion brand idea and provide oversight for consistent expression of overall campaign across all stakeholders, including brand and product initiatives, corporate communications and internal communications
Further refine elements of communications platform as needed to drive greater consistency
Establish optimal global approach to client co-marketing strategy and communications across all channels
Drive cultural strategy development and implementation with the communications platform – includes content (strategy to execution, consumer engagement model definition) and program development
Train and consult with markets and global initiative leads on briefs and creative concepts to ensure global consistency
Become expert on competitive creative activity as it relates to communications impact
Maintain global view of product marketing plans and campaign performance, providing strategic and creative recommendations for optimization globally
Lead relationship with creative agencies

Drive Thought-Leadership
Act as a brand evangelist, providing thought-leadership, inspiration and best practices contributing to success of communications
Stewardship of creative excellence

Consult, Train and Facilitate Sharing with Markets
Evangelize creative excellence, educating key stakeholders on the value and impact of great creative
Develop all guidelines/training tools required in support of communications platform
Establish and lead process for agency on-boarding and engagement to further support a consistent communications platform
Create assets and tools for market activation as needed

Reporting Relationship

Reports to Vice President of Global Brand & Product Marketing

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years business experience, with majority in marketing, advertising or brand management – preferably within a global organization
Strong portfolio of award-winning marketing programs that are recognized for creativity/innovation across channels
Design oriented, and skilled at translating business requirements into creative briefs and design solutions
Interest/passion for design and communications, possess a clear understanding of current practices and trends
Strong working relationships with and management of external agency partners
Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully in a highly matrixed organization
Proven ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups
Experience building Executive Level communications and delivering presentations
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are preferred; Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
Graduate degree required
