Director - Sales Writer - Fidelity Investments - Covington
Job Description
Position Description: Workplace Investing requires a Sales Writer to work closely with the deal teams to develop content and messaging in support of RFPs and other materials in an effort to meet our sales and retention goals and help build efficiencies into the overall process. The Sales Writer will create standard and custom content that speaks to Fidelity's strengths, benefits, and vision in a way that helps Fidelity stand out from the competition and accurately describes our product offerings and service model.
The Sales Writer will engage with associates at all levels within the organization to create engaging and meaningful content with a clear, concise, and consistent tone and flow. Primary Responsibilities * Understanding of sales process and sales messaging to create persuasive and meaningful content. * Ability to work with other WI business partners on key initiatives that tie into our sales story. * Act as a writing and content management resource for the deal teams. * Actively engage with the deal teams to better understand their needs and proactively drive improvements to the database. * Proactively stay on top of new product offerings and Fidelity's service model. * Ensure key differentiators and Fidelity's core values are captured in our overall sales story and message. * Write and edit new content for the database and individual RFPs. * Ability to manage capacity demands and support workload/assignments. * Manage projects and actively follow up on efforts underway; successfully manage assignments and hit deadlines. * Review and incorporate feedback from CA&RS, SMEs, Account Executives, MDs and others. * Ensure accuracy of content by coordinating reviews with SMEs annually or more frequently if needed. * Keep content current and up-to-date removing old or outdated content. * Attend product rollout meetings, trainings, and product updates to stay current and work through content revisions. * Track trends and usage in the database to help evaluate the quality of content and how content is organized. * Communicate changes and updates to CA&RS as well as the broader Sales organization. Make sure the database content is consistent in styles and themes. * Coordinate the ongoing consistency of information with other database content owners (IT, IS, Investments, etc.). * Ability to work effectively within the Qvidian Proposal Management software to manage content and drive efficiencies within our process.
Qualifications: Education and Experience * Bachelor's Degree, preferably in English, Communications, or similar discipline. * Master's Degree or MBA a plus. Skills and Knowledge * Strong written skills and ability to write in a clear, concise, and meaningful way. * Experience translating key messages into clear, concise, and persuasive written content. * Team player with demonstrated leadership skills. * Strong project management background. * Demonstrated commitment to quality and process improvement programs. * Background in database management, proposal writing, and/or presentation development a plus. * Five to eight years experience in the benefits outsourcing or financial industry preferred. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong editing skills. * Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. * Outstanding project management, organizational, and negotiation skills. * Knowledge of content or database management systems a plus. * Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and work effectively under pressure. * Creative, flexible, and out-of-the-box thinking. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. * Client focused, proactive approach to service
