Director - Digital Marketing - Fidelity Investments - Smithfield


Job description
The Director, Onsite Search is the channel owner for the Fidelity.com onsite search experience. This entails working cross-functionally across the Technology, Platform, User Experience Design, Measurement and Analytics, Marketing and Product organizations to deliver best in class search results. The Director will work closely with the VP, Search Experience, to ensure alignment of our site search strategy with overall search plan. The Director, Onsite Search is a key partner to Technology, Platform, Marketing, and User Experience teams.


Primary Responsibilities:

Build a roadmap to define a best-in-class customer experience for Fidelity.com Onsite Search
Understand both the technology and content needs necessary to drive relevancy
Act as business sponsor for Search Analytics
Act as main partner to our Search Technology team
Lead the efforts to ensure our current functionality is analyzed, planned and released according to both customer needs and expected schedule
Lead any and all vendor reviews
Manage opportunity gaps, as highlighted in behavioral and customer sentiment data
Create and maintain a sustainable process for identifying, analyzing, and responding to these opportunity gaps in real-time (ongoing optimization)
Perform keyword and pattern analysis needed to react to customer experience needs
Act as main channel owner for search experience as it relates to our latest content build and strategy efforts on Fidelity.com
Regularly push site search recommendations for both current and existing content, ensuring our content standards are search-friendly
Meet with content sponsors regularly to ensure search optimization across all of our Fidelity.com content efforts
Keep up-to-date on user experience (UX) search trends and competitive best practices across all industries
Lead any and all search results redesign efforts
Understand how we stack overall vs. best in class experiences
Communicate program roadmap and performance to executive team regularly
Help to define what will drive our success, and communicate it clearly across the organization
Partner with our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) team
Understand how optimizations affect external search results
Lead an enterprise committee for onsite search functionality across Fidelity (WI, Internal communications, etc.)

Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
10+ years work experience
Agency or client experience in a search (Onsite/SEO/PPC)
e-commerce/Platform experience at a large brand preferred
Knowledge of MS Office
Experience within the financial services industry is preferred, but not required
Experience working in a cross–functional matrixed organization preferred
Must be willing to travel to Boston, as necessary
