Senior Director - Marketing - Institutional Markets - Tutor.com - New York


Job description
Overview: Tutor.com is looking for a hands-on, business-to-business senior level marketing director to help us grow Tutor.com ‘s B2B markets. The Senior Director, Marketing: Institutional Markets reports to the GM of Institutional markets and is responsible for the strategy, tactics, and programs to create interest, demand and recognition of Tutor.com to help achieve our institutional sales and strategic goals.

Position Responsibilities:

Strategic planning including market positioning, competitive analysis, product positioning and customer segmentation planning.

Lead marketing team to develop and execute marketing programs that include direct mail, email, social media, advertising, impactful presentations and conference participation for our institutional markets.
Work closely with product management in development of new services or enhancement of current services. Communicate the value proposition of our products and services to the sales team and lead effort to provide the tools for the sales team to successfully sell our services.
Create effective brochures, specification sheets and other collateral materials to inform the market about the benefits of our services.
Create customer acquisition and lead generation campaigns to help build pipeline and close sales for library and higher education sales team.
Develop customer support programs to energize our retention efforts.
Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs.
Manage partnerships with consultants, industry associations and organizations.
Create and manage advisory panels for markets

Desired Skills and Experience
Position Requirements:

7+ years of marketing experience. Higher-Ed or education market preferred.
Track record of developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies that have met or exceeded company objectives.
Ability to lead a results-driven marketing team and to work collaboratively with executive, market and product management leaders.
Track record of creating, executing, and measuring marketing programs within budget.
Demonstrated history of helping companies achieve a position of leadership in their respective markets.
Experience with CRMs (preferably SalesForce) and other sales and marketing tools
Excellent writing and communications skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Education or a related field is required.
