Director - IT Digital Solution Architect - L'Oreal - New York

The Digital Solutions Architect will be responsible for solution design and deployment of customer facing touch points across the L’Oreal Americas digital footprint. Specifically, this person will provide technical direction and solution for desktop/laptop portals, tablet, mobile, digital display and Internet of Things technologies. A passion for learning new technology frameworks and ability to see how parts interact with the whole ‘big picture’ is a must. This role will partner with other technology architects and key business stakeholders to properly position digital solutions within the Enterprise. Activities for this role include full-cycle solution development and deployment.


This is a role that combines information technology and ingenuity. It would best be filled by someone with a technical background in Computer Science. The ideal candidate will be motivated and a detail-oriented professional who can contribute to systems architecture design, infrastructure deployment and change processes.

Responsibility
Envision reusable digital architecture to support 30+ brands of L’Oreal and multiple markets of America zone
Create partner onboarding program to maintain consistency in development standards
Communicate development and quality guidelines for partner organization and perform audit to ensure code is delivered as per guidelines/best practices
Create technical specs and dataflow diagram for project and advise team on reusability of pre-existing integration
Collaborate with technical resources across L’Oreal Technology organization
Contribute to projects in capacity of design/architecture of eCommerce, eMarketing, CRM, Business Intelligence, Retail system and Innovation
L’Oreal is embarking on creating Digital Framework that will streamline digital tools and processes across Americas zone to support Ubiquitous Brand Experience and Commerce in each consumer touch point. Digital Architect will spearhead this critical implementation and take L’Oreal toward future of digital marketing and innovation.
Ensure all activities are visible and transparent to maximize productivity
Test/evaluate new technologies, delivery and management of digital media across the enterprise
Develop processes and procedures that are rigorous but compatible with our "speed to market" philosophy

Qualifications
B.S. degree in Information Technology or other technical discipline
Demonstrated project planning, organizational and leadership skills
Minimum 6 years technical experience in IT for CPG Company
Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital marketing concepts
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Experience leading technical teams without a direct reporting structure
Fundamental understanding of software development lifecycle including Agile
Experience with standardized UAT and QA processes/procedures
Clear understanding of designing service oriented architecture
Expertise or training in following technologies is plus:
Ecommerce platform like Demandware,
CMS platform like Sitecore,
CRM solution like Salesforce.com
POS platform like Cegid,
Integration tools like Informatica, PI, Layer 7
Digital Asset Management platform like Opentext
Familiarity with Programmatic Media buying, DMP, DSP, Big Data, Enterprise Service Bus, Social and Mobile technologies.
