Description
The Director, Analytics Excellence Forecasting is a senior individual contributor functional excellence role within GCSO responsible for driving functional excellence & efficiency in forecasting, championing talent, and compliant processes across GCSO. As required, this role will also support forecasting projects for the Global Commercial Insights & Analytics organization (the ‘Hub’) and Global Public Health (GPH) functions. As a strategic partner, the role involves partnering across the GCSO Therapeutic Area (TA) analytics group and leaders to determine appropriate functional methodologies and capabilities to support emerging and existing business drivers and trends.
Management of complex projects and priorities, demonstrated cutting-edge functional excellence, and working independently to prioritize work / manage multiple priorities for self and matrix team will be the responsibility of the Director, Analytics Excellence Forecasting. This role will report in to the Senior Director GCSO Analytics.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA preferred. A minimum of 8+ years of progressive business experience is required, with 3+ years in health care (pharmaceutical or medical device) experience preferred. Functional experience in a relevant area of Analytics working with complex/innovative methodologies and/or complex modeling techniques is required. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. The ability to influence across functional boundaries and in matrix organizations will be needed. A demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently is needed. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills for Forecasting/Portfolio responsibilities are required. Prior experience and a proven track record of success in ambiguous and complex environments are required. The ability to partner and influence without authority with leaders at all levels globally and locally are required. Strong leadership capability and ability to Connect, Shape, Lead & Deliver in a credo-based, ethical manner is required. Demonstrated ability to develop deep insights, uncover unmet needs, drive innovation, inspire, develop, collaborate and lead within a global matrixed team is required.
This position will require domestic and international travel as needed.
