Senior Director - Production Operations - NBCUniversal - California

Responsibilities During the course of each production (be it a presentation, pilot or series) responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Pre-Production * Oversee title clearance process from ideation through final binding to insurance. * Draft & distribute agendas for all production kick off meetings
* Initiate & oversee post supervisor meetings for each show to review delivery requirements * Ensure that Oxygen staff lists & distribution grids are sent to ProdCos in a timely fashion * Assist VP, Production in management of development & production finance (including invoice requests, processing, cash projections, etc). * Review pilot & series budgets, alerting VP, Production to any concerns, comments. * Draft & distribute milestone emails on a per project basis Production * Review all shooting schedules and compare with budget. * Plot shooting days on taping calendar. Post & email to all. * Ensure that every series is submitting cost reports per guidelines * Review cost reports and alert VP, Production of any concerns * Confirm any incident reports are being distributed properly * Help production companies navigate various Oxygen departments to resolve legal or insurance issues * Maintain and confirm accuracy of breakage tracking grid * Track digital needs list & confirm all material is delivered on time and that it is acceptable. * Occassionally visit set to ensure creative is being executed within budget and in accordance with creative executive's direction. Post * Review Post calendar with series EIC and confirm that it conforms with post production guidelines. * Oversee post cut grids being maintained by coordinators and alert VP, Production to any concerns / significant changes. * Help ProdCos navigate the graphics approval process, and alert VP, Production and marketing of any gfx delays * Review credits for all series and distribute for internal approvals * Review act timings for overall length & other rules (bottom & top of the hour sweep etc). * Work with post supervisors to track online of all shows and to confirm that production company stays on schedule
* Accept, confirm & distribute final delivery items on all shows. * Track & share delivery dates of all shows with Business Affairs Administration for options tracking * Confirm that all production wrap bibles (incl international bibles) have been received and that everything is acceptable. * Liaise with internal NBCU audit dept if auditing a series. NOC Delivery * Review and advise on all QC reports * Advise NOC on order in which shows need to be QC'd. * Report QC findings to applicable persons/production companies and confirm all episodes pass QC Additional Responsibilities Apart from productions duties may also include but are not limited to the following: Staff Management * Oversee that Manager of Production is completing job responsibilities fully and efficiently. * Assist in training Manager of Production and other Prod Ops dept staff to assist in their career development. * Assist in securing interns and assigning tasks. Special Projects * Track producer assignments and communicate to other Oxygen departments. * Compile and submit quarterly cue sheets to all PROs and other interested parties. * Help communicate special content needs (TCAs, Ad Sales, etc) to ProdCos and manage the delivery of that content to various depts. Technology & Fine Cut * Advise & consult on the setting up of east & west coast offices with Fine Cut and assist with resolving any technical issues. * Stay up to date with latest techological advances in field technical gear & post equipment. Advise others within dept of significant changes, potential cost efficiencies.
Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree * Minimum 5 years experience working as a line producer or Exec in Charge at a production company * Experience overseeing various unscripted formats
