Director - Production Engineering - Lookout - San Francisco

Lookout is seeking a highly motivated Director to build, scale, and manage our world-class production environment. This role will lead, build, and shape Lookout’s TechOps Production Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with experience managing high volume, global web infrastructure environments that consists of Linux/open source technologies. Understanding a complex services oriented infrastructure and be responsible for scaling it in the cloud.
What you'll be doing:
Managing a highly skilled technical team which supports a large cloud server infrastructure
Grow and Staff the small highly skilled team to meet business growth
Establish and partner with Lookout’s various engineering groups


Desired Skills and Experience
What you need for this position:
DevOps / Operations engineer working on a high traffic, highly available site.
10+ years of hands-on management experience
Experience with system configuration management, automation and continuous pipeline support into production
Experience with high-performance, open source web application technologies and management of access to the data centers, ensuring appropriate access and reporting to management about data center
Strong Leadership skills and team building skills
Ability to mentor and guide staff
Ability to Partner with Engineering and has the ability to drive projects
Strong understanding of how to get software and services into a production state with an enterprise SLA mindset.
