Director - IS2P Process Excellence - Nike - Portland
Job description

• Lead and influence teams in the development and execution of the controlling operating model, end to end process excellence across our global indirect-source-to-pay transaction streams and drive an effective and efficient internal control structure.
• Work with embedded teams to advise the organization on the technical accounting and control implications of business decisions including embedded leases, variable interest entity considerations, tangible and intangible capital investments, licensing arrangements, guarantees.
• Drive Global matrix teams in the development and implementation of standardized end-to-end transactional processes, controls, policies and measurable KPI’s. Launch and coordinate initiatives to recommend process improvements and track initiatives designed to support and improve our end-to-end processes and related controls by leading, empowering and developing global virtual teams.
• Feed and promote a lean/process excellence culture
• Lead, coach, drive and inspire individuals on the team to personally and collectively develop and deliver an optimal and sustainable controlling model.
• Manage coordination within NIKE’s complex operational and legal entity structure and work closely with cross-functional counterparts to inform processes as needed to handle new transaction streams.
• Be leader within the larger NIKE Finance and Controlling Organization to develop, embrace and deliver best practices
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required
• LEAN Certification preferred
• 10+ years' extensive experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, and transaction services/financial business process consulting; experience within a large multinational, publically-held company highly preferred
• 5+ years' proven people management experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, business processes and strategic planning is preferred
• Exposure to accounting and finance systems preferred (SAP or Oracle)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, risks and opportunities with senior leadership team
• Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations
• Strong ability to develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions and layers, preferably inclusive of navigating a large corporation
• Proven experience with continuous improvement and/or LEAN-related concepts and change management
• Excellent understanding and application of managerial concepts and techniques in areas such as innovation, inspiration, employee development, coaching and engagement
• Experience with accounting for e-commerce or other front end customer-facing interaction technology a plus
• Ability to pass a 7 year background check
