Job description
Ethan Allen’s Director of Fabric and Leather Programs will be responsible for developing the corporate color direction, product development, sales, pricing and merchandising of the fabric, trim, leather, and COF fabric lines based on trend analysis and product development goals.

A demonstrated understanding of industry fabric and leather testing standards allows this position to partner with Manufacturing to maintain Ethan Allen standards for outstanding quality.

Managing vendor relationships from initiation and maintenance of vendor agreements, pricing, terms, and forecasting standards, this position will research new resources (import and domestic) and attend pertinent trade shows, recapping trends and opportunities to provide a road map for development and future growth.


Desired Skills and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising or related field with eight years of buying and product development experience and must have a strong understanding of fabric construction and a good knowledge of the market, financial planning and sourcing with imports and exports.

Strong communication, organization, analytical and time management skills are required as well as the ability to travel, domestic and international, up to 25 percent as needed.
