Job Description
ADP is hiring a Director, Communications. In this position you will be responsible for the design and distribution of MAS-wide communications. Plans and creates strategies, tactics, activities and materials for the purpose of conveying communications to associates. This position manages the content on the MAS portal with the goal of increasing the effectiveness and impact to associate communications and information. Researches, writes, and edits internal communication documents or emails. Manages the timing and flow of communications to MAS associates and managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the comprehensive MAS communications strategy and supporting programs.
Design a communication process and execute a plan to ensure consistent reinforcement of the MAS strategy and key drivers supporting it.
Develop clear and concise communication plans, draft communications, coordinate review and approval processes and seek legal review when applicable for a wide variety of communications.
Partner with marketing, corporate communications and project leaders to create innovative communication options that integrate messaging, graphics and branding to inspire associate reaction. Leverage various communication vehicles to create energy, momentum and awareness with associates.
Works closely with executive management and directs the efforts of clients requesting targeted and mass communications.
Provide guidance to individuals and project teams to produce effective client communications strategies in accordance with established documentation standards and style guides.
Conceptualize and develop new and interesting methods of communicating with associates and partners.
Introduce industry best practices and recommendations for process improvement in the areas of internal support communications which may include, but are not limited to, bulletins, newsletters, FAQs and web-based content.
Coordinates and manages the internal MAS portal through the lifecycle (design, development, testing, implementation and production). Ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories and events) is posted regularly.
Gathers information from end users to evaluate objectives and goals. Makes recommendations
Integrates artwork, text and other mediums in a design format appropriate for the client.
Track and measure the level of effectiveness of all communications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Technical Writing or related discipline.
Minimum of 8-10 years in a fast paced environment managing the overall planning and delivery of internal communications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering for communication plans
Ability to facilitate elaboration sessions with subject matter experts
Knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, practices and techniques of writing and developing communication and documentation materials.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects while meeting tight deadlines
A solid command of business communication tools and strategies.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and teamwork skills.
Effective listening and communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective analytical skills
Effective PC skills including desktop publishing, Word, PowerPoint. Graphic design experience beneficial.
