Job description
Individual Life Insurance and Agency Distribution are looking for a Project Director to join its Digital Experience team. Prudential’s digital experience initiative will shape our future and build an integrated multi-constituent, multi-channel relevant interactive experience delivering holistic solutions and grow relationships with key constituent groups (consumers, customers, producers/intermediaries, institutions and other influencer groups such as the media). With significant investment and a multi-year effort, we aim to:
· Leverage our breath of product to deliver solutions that adapt to our customers’ and clients’ ever-changing needs.
· Deliver an integrated experience of web, social, mobile and document delivery that optimizes every interaction.
· Develop dynamic rich content, video, etc. presentation that is customized to the situation each time a user engages with us.
· Ensure a digital experience that promotes continuous interaction between Prudential and all involved constituents.
Role:
Project Director, Digital Experience, provides all aspects of program/project management to support Individual Life Insurance and Agency Distribution digital initiatives. Support includes, but is not limited to, identification of initial business issue and scope, development and maintenance of project tools (e.g., project plans, dashboards), tracking of issues through resolution, and development of all project communications. In addition, this position supports the execution of the tactical plans developed to advance our digital efforts, including constructing business cases, providing data analysis, and drafting business requirements.
Responsibilities:
The Project Director will manage small to large scale projects and/ or phases of a project within the ILI/AD digital initiative
Oversee efforts of several cross-functional working teams, collaborating with team leads, business stakeholders and corporate centers as necessary.
Manage and lead all project phases from developing the strategy to project close out
Research, recommend and sometimes implement solutions to solve business problems inherent to a given project
Assess and customize project management approach to meet the needs of the initiative
Draft and maintain all project documentation including but not limited to: project plans, dashboards, issues tracking, meeting documentation, and status reports; develop other documents as requested (i.e., business case, business requirements, program updates)
Proactively identify and manage issues and risks; oversee and manage the change management process
Develop recommendations for critical decisions
Communicate clearly (written and verbal) with key stakeholders; develop effective presentations and updates for senior management
Understand the interconnectivity of the various functions across ILI/AD and corporate areas; facilitate interaction and communication among key stakeholders
Recognize and incorporate external factors into project planning
Recognize and leverage project team members’ strengths to ensure correct alignment of project tasks; establish accountability among team members
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
Strong business acumen and desire to learn
Proficient in applying the project management life cycle and associated tools
Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills; demonstrated ability to think about business problems in new ways and clarify key issues in complex situations
Proven ability to define, set expectations and lead multiple concurrent projects
Highly self-motivated and able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and changing environment
Demonstrated ability in managing and influencing others within and outside of direct reporting lines
Strong executive presentation skills, both oral and written; able to tailor communication style to effectively meet the needs of the audience
Successfully identifies and addresses ambiguity
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project; Visio and Access knowledge a plus
Prior project management/leadership experience required
Digital and / or Financial Services experience a plus
4 Year Degree Required (Degree in Digital, Finance, Accounting, Business Management or Project Management a plus)
