Director - Program Management - Fidelity Investments - Merrimack
Job description
The Program Office and Field Operations supports all groups that deliver Platform initiatives to NF, IWS and FFOS clients and prospects, including Risk / Regulatory / Compliance and cross Fidelity initiatives. The Program Manager will work with the Product Owner to manage initial planning, business analysis, signing off of requirements with owners and securing the budget. The Program Manager, Product Owner and Technology General Contractor will work together to oversee the delivery of complete business requirements on-time and on budget. The Program Manager will be responsible for engaging and managing key stakeholders including marketing, training, deployment, implementation, legal, risk, compliance, etc. The Program Manager will be responsible for creating and publishing statuses to key stakeholders and Senior Management. Programs may be $1M+ and multi-year efforts.
Primary Responsibilities
Assume program management responsibilities for scope definition, business requirements, development activities and user testing.
Engage appropriate business partners / program stakeholders in program development efforts
Partner closely with business owners to jointly deliver significant enhancements to the platform
Provide management team apprised of project status through project documentation and presentations.
Document the business requirements, document current and proposed business processes and oversee the project implementation
Produce weekly, monthly and as needed executive program updates
Deliver expected results.
Resolve conflicts and pursue solutions that all parties can support while furthering the goals of the organization.
Coordinate activities for multiple business and technology functional groups to ensure project success.
Responsible for managing, tracking and reporting, both written and verbal program updates
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience
10+ years financial service experience
5+ years Program Management experience in a development or business process reengineering environment
Experience in correspondent clearing environment
Proven track record managing complex, multi-year, $1+ programs.
Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated program management, communication, and leadership skills on large initiatives ($1M+).
Solid understanding of program management concepts and methodologies.
Knowledge of financial markets, related products and correspondent clearing business.
Strong interpersonal skills including ability to work across the Fidelity organization, influencing / facilitating / negotiating at various levels in a matrix environment.
Highly motivated with strong attention to details.
Ability to perform under tight deadline managing multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
Experience developing business requirements.
Strong interpersonal and influence skills.
Ability to define, document, track and report on $1M+ programs.
Effective conflict resolution and change management skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
