Develop Media Planning strategies that support network and business goals. Utilize all NBC Universal Networks to build comprehensive and non-traditional media plans that maximize reach and extend frequency off of Esquire Network's air This position reports to the Vice President, Brand Marketing Specific Duties and Responsibilities  Manage Esquire's airtime to provide clear messaging of promotional priorities to our audience, "navigate" viewers through the schedule to increase time spent viewing, and drive ratings for new episodes, stunts, events and show launches. -
Utilize Reach and Frequency, GRPs and duplication research to create efficient and effective media plans.  Supervise staff in the implementation of daily logs - Continue to find new ways to utilize our inventory - Lead viewers from one event to the next in a clear way - Make sense of our air  Partner with on-air team in the development of promotional materials that support programming initiatives: - Produce Job Orders for on-air teams that communicate programming objectives, strategic direction and goals to be fulfilled by on-air promos. - Review on-air materials in development stage, to assess their compatibility with original Programming objectives. - Attend various meetings to clearly articulate the Programming goals and objectives to the creative team. - Be able to articulate the media planning strategy behind the assignments.  Lead weekly promo priority meetings on key convergent initiatives as needed.  Partner with Integrated Marketing Partnerships and Ad Sales to develop client-driven promotional opportunities. - Manage monthly/ weekly calendars of on-air sponsorships  Set the guidelines and structure of ancillary initiatives across Esquire Network  Serve as principle contact for digital initiatives in regard to their priorities (Social integrations as well as VOD opportunities)  Key contact and liaison with Traffic, On-Air Promos, Commercial Operations, NOC, Standards and Practices and digital channels regarding all on-air promotional time for Esquire Network  Lead barter discussions and planning with all NBC Universal Properties and outside media partners  Create and maintain a quarterly media roll-out based on available inventory and manage the monthly planners  Oversee development of customized computer systems to produce on-going enhancements in utility and functionality

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  8-10 years media planning/promo scheduling experience at ad-supported television network. At least 5 years in management/supervisory role.  Thinks strategically and creatively.  Strong knowledge of Reach and Frequency, GRP's and Duplication information.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cross departmental relationships.  Detail and deadline oriented, with great time-management and change-management skills.  Self-starter, resourceful, able to work well under pressure and on multiple projects at the same time.  Knowledge and interest in audience demographics.  Strong knowledge of television content, brands and how it relates to both the Esquire Network's goals and the viewer's enjoyment.  Familiar with branding and promotional initiatives in the basic cable landscape.  Strong business ethics.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Creative thinker who can bring fresh ideas to the table.  Experience in creating or redesigning processes/systems.  Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other scheduling and traffic programs (Sintec, GripIt and Freewheel)
