Job description
SUMMARY
Responsible for raising the awareness and sales of Casio products through marketing outreach and business development activities and cultivating relationships with school, district, and state-level teachers and decision makers. Activities will be within a designated multi-state territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for overseeing all duties of MDM’s.
Develop and cultivate relationships with school, district, and state-level decision makers for calculator use and math education through school visits, workshops and customer follow-up after key marketing events.
Develop and manage lead generation and lead follow-up activities within region to ensure that we are developing leads, contacting and developing business with potential customers, logging activities in ACT, and generating reports that show opportunities and progress.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with key Casio customers including teachers and math supervisors within the designated region.
Provide specialized product knowledge and conduct product training and presentations to key customer targets within the region to generate trial and purchase of Casio products. Create price quotes and/or connect customer with educational resellers to close business.
Build relationships and gather market information from educational resellers and customers during conferences and events.
Stay abreast of market trends and adoptions, school bids and large product opportunities within the region. Actively engage with stakeholders to ensure that Casio is included in the discussion and captures the business. This includes the generation of localized marketing campaigns.
Generate Casio product leads by attending various local, regional, and national trade shows.
Complete and submit monthly market activity reports and expense reports to immediate supervisor. Complete weekly expense reports, absence reports, itineraries, etc…
Enhance overall sales and marketing efforts by reporting on market trends, market feedback, and competitors' efforts. Assist in making recommendations for new product development.
Manage samples and product loan accounts and be responsible for staying within the assigned travel, entertainment, and telephone budgets. Corporate and divisional policies must be followed regarding lodging/hotel accommodations, airfare, meals, entertainment, etc.
All other duties as may be assigned by other members of management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and ten or more years related experience; or advanced degree and eight or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define and solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
