Director - Airbus 321 Integration - Hawaiian Airlines - Honolulu

Job description
This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for directing and managing aircraft integration within set deadlines and adhering to cost objectives. This includes the coordination and oversight of changes to systems, policies and procedures, processes, training, and maintenance programs that will ensure the successful entry into service of the A321 fleet.
Additionally, this role will coordinate efforts between Commercial, Training, Airport Customer Service, Inflight and other key departments to develop, train and implement operating and service standards that align to designed product, service and brand standards.

Define the scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Coordinate activities of all departments, and their respective representatives, preparing to operate the aircraft
Ensure aircraft are delivered to defined specifications
Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones
Proactively manage changes, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans

Set and continually manage aircraft integration expectations
Develop and deliver progress reports and presentations throughout the integration
Build and maintain relationships vital to the success of the integration internally and externally
Work with the FAA to obtain necessary certifications to operate

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering
At least 2 years of experience in the airline industry, preferably in an operations capacity
3 – 5 years of experience in a project management capacity
Proven ability to motivate and lead large scale teams
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
Deep understanding of the airline business and cross organizational interdependencies
Experience working with regulatory agencies
Experience negotiating with manufacturers and vendors
Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree
PMP Certification
Prior aircraft integration experience
