The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for leading the hotel’s RevMax team in determining strategic goals and implementing tactical efforts with the goal of driving revenue generating efforts at the hotel. The DRM is responsible for data analysis and providing gathered intelligence to the RevMax team as well as other corporate and ownership entities.
The DRM ensures that inventory allocation and pricing parameters are positioned to support the overall revenue goals of the hotel, while assisting all stakeholders in maximizing profit. This position reports directly to the Managing Director and direct reports include one Revenue Manager plus an indirect reporting line from the Reservations Manager, related to technology and systems.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Director of Revenue in a top tier city.
University/College degree in a related discipline required
Strategic thinking combined with the proven ability to move strategy to action
Comfortable in discussion forums; able to represent ideas succinctly and convincingly.
Detail oriented with proven experience in analysis and problem solving
Proven track record of team building skills
Self-study and independent work style
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints is key to the success of this individual
Strong experience or adaptable training in the use of automated systems, PCs and Microsoft office products
Knowledge of Fairmont Sales & Property Management automation an asset
Experience working with IDeaS or other Revenue Management system required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
