Director - Emerging Channel - The Wine Group - Stockton
Job description
Execute TWG Trade Development strategy for entire portfolio by owning the lead role at Emerging Channels in Western United States. Manage, lead and develop the western TWG Drug, C-store, Military and Dollar team. Develop customer specific programs with the TWG marketing teams. Work closely with the TWG field staff that calls on our distributor network to maximize program execution efforts. Continuously develop your personal skills to prepare for future growth opportunities at the Wine Group.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Build relationships with regional chain buyers and all key decision makers in the accounts, including VPs. Also build quality relationships with wholesaler Chain VP/Account Executive team, Category Management and Execution teams
Understand TWG new item priorities and execute them against each individual chain
Execute TWG pricing strategy with knowledge of individual chain requirements and nuances.
Includes managing Scans and QD’s
Conduct monthly program presentations against TWG priorities & chain specific opportunities; maximize TWG share of merchandising activity
Secure weekly circular, monthly programs & specialty ads
Act as conduit to Field Sales to maximize program execution through all key phases: Planning-Communication-Execution-Evaluation
Responsibility for TWG Category Management in these accounts. Optimize shelf and cold Box placement. Become thought leader with accounts in segments that are key to TWG strategy
Handle administration as required by each chain and TWG
QUALIFICATIONS
10 Years CPG experience with C-stores and third party distributors
Regional Head Quarter call experience
5 years of management experience
Knowledge of Nielsen, Excel, Power point, Word
Bachelor’s Degree
