Job description
The Director, Global Total Rewards is responsible for the development of a comprehensive total rewards strategy that aligns employee rewards with results that support business objectives. The total rewards strategy and programs will enable the company to attract, reward, and retain top talent globally.

This role serves as part of the HR leadership team, reporting to the VP – Human Capital. Our employees have the freedom to take risks and we encourage innovation. Responsibilities:

Lead compensation strategy for the company by recommending standardized programs, sales and commission plans, variable compensation designs, bonus programs, and long-term incentive programs.
Collaborate with HC Consultants and Business leaders to understand their issues related to compensation and benefits.
Provide counsel to HC Consultants, Managers, and Talent Acquisition regarding compensation issues, evaluating new positions, job bands, grade levels, job descriptions, promotions and transfers.

Build and sustain collaborative relationships at multiple levels in the company. Work through complex disagreements and conflict to achieve resolution. Build trust by including others and by keeping the cross-functional teams focused on the success of the entire company.
Understand the complexity of business on a global scale. Embrace cultural and individual differences with empathy. Work with the nuances of specific local cultures to make informed decisions.
Design, implement and administer the company's benefit programs and ensure that the company is in compliance with all compensation and benefits laws and regulations.
Manage and negotiate with brokers and third party solution providers.
Support M & A activities as they relate to benefits and compensation.
Works with VP, Human Capital on board compensation committee proposals.
Work with executives, brand leaders and HC leadership team to align Total Rewards programs to corporation's strategic direction, culture, and business objectives.
Collaborates with finance executives to review cost implications of reward programs.
Create a strong culture of recognition through the design of reward and recognition programs.
Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for total rewards programs.

Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR or relevant business field, including management of compensation functions
Certification in Compensation (CCP) and Benefits (CEBS or CBP) a plus
Bachelor's Degree required. MBA preferred.
Proven ability to gauge effectiveness of the organization's compensation and benefits programs and translate data into solutions to continually improve programs and practices.
Demonstrated experience in compensation plan design and implementation.
A creative approach to problem solving, with a humble, team oriented and optimistic attitude.
Ability to think globally, strategically, and objectively. Effectively translates data into actionable insights, strategies and financial plans.
Leadership skills balanced with a willingness to play a 'hands-on' role with key projects.
Ability to effectively translate complex information into clear and effective messages.
Communicates clearly and effectively with associates at all levels.
Strong verbal and written presentation skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way and to tailor key messages and presentation style to multiple audiences.
Goal oriented and possesses the ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an ever-changing environment.
Proven ability to use quantitative and qualitative metrics to design and gauge effectiveness of the organization's programs and translating data into solutions to continually improve programs and practices.
